Creativity Direct: Works of Art from the Carbondale Creative District

August 2019 – December 2019

This exhibition features artists from the Carbondale Creative District, highlighting the town’s thriving artistic population of painters, printmakers, mixed media artists, photographers, and more. Carbondale, originally founded within the Roaring Fork Valley in 1888, received its official status as a Colorado Certified Creative District in 2016. This exhibition displays the wide range of artists living and working in Carbondale. The selected artworks will be on display at the Colorado State Capitol, including the Lieutenant Governor’s Office, basement rotunda, and Legislative Council staff offices.
